Summers here are long, and a split that has been fitted in the wrong place lets you know about it: one room freezing, another one never cool, and a unit that runs all day without ever getting there. If you are looking for split air conditioning installation in Elche, the equipment is only half the job. The other half is deciding where each unit goes and setting it up so it works properly from the first day. That is what we do at Climazone, a family company that has been installing and repairing air conditioning in Elche and the surrounding area for more than 20 years.

What a split installation actually involves

A split system comes in two pieces. The indoor unit sends the air into the room. The outdoor unit sits outside and does the hard work. The two are joined by refrigerant pipework, a drain for the condensate and an electrical supply.

A proper installation covers all of it:

Skip any of those steps and the equipment still switches on. It just works harder than it needs to, and your consumption goes up with it.

Who it is for

One split covers one room or one open space: a living room, a bedroom, a small office, a consulting room, a shop floor. It is the usual starting point in flats and houses, and often all a small business needs.

We work in homes, shops and companies in Elche and the surrounding area, and the jobs tend to fall into a few familiar shapes:

If you need to cool several rooms, a single outdoor unit can sometimes serve more than one indoor unit. We will tell you honestly which approach makes sense in your property. You can see that option and the rest of what we do on our air conditioning services page.

How we work, step by step

  1. You tell us what you need. A call or a message with the rooms involved and the type of property is enough to get started.
  2. We come and look. A visit to your home or your business tells us far more than any photo: the size of the room, the walls, where the outside space is and how the electrics are set up.
  3. Free advice, then a clear quote. We explain the options, including the ones that cost less, and put it in writing. Clear quotes, with no surprises at the end.
  4. Installation day. Our technicians fit the indoor and outdoor units, run the pipework and the drain, and connect everything up. We cover the area and clear up after ourselves.
  5. Testing and handover. We run the system, check it is working as it should, and go through the basics with you. The work comes with a guarantee.

Getting the position right

The indoor unit

It needs height, a clear path for the air and somewhere sensible for the drain to fall. We keep it away from the spot where you sit or sleep, and away from anything that blocks the airflow. Where the pipework can run also matters, because the shortest route is not always the tidiest one.

The outdoor unit

This one needs space around it to breathe and shade where there is some to be had. A unit crammed into a closed box or baking in full sun works harder for the same result. It also needs to be reachable, because filters, coils and refrigerant gas all have to be checked over the years.

In blocks of flats, where an outdoor unit can go on a facade or a terrace may depend on the rules of the building. It is worth checking that before the work is booked, and we will flag it if we think it applies to your case.

What you need before we start

If you are not sure about any of it, that is normal. Working it out is part of the advice, and the advice is free.

Why choose us for your split air conditioning installation in Elche

Frequently asked questions

Can a split be fitted in any room?

Almost always, but not always in the first place you had in mind. The limits are usually the route for the pipework and the drain, and somewhere workable for the outdoor unit. On the visit we look at both and tell you what is possible.

Do I need a separate unit for every room?

Not necessarily. A single split is often enough for an open living area, and where several rooms are involved a system with one outdoor unit and several indoor units may be the better answer. Which one suits you depends on the layout and on how you actually use the rooms.

Does a split also heat?

Many split units work as a heat pump as well, so the same equipment cools in summer and heats in the cooler months. Tell us if you want to use it that way, because it changes what we recommend.
